Satka

Satka is a town and the administrative center of the Satkinsky District in the Chelyabinsk Oblast region of Russia. It is situated on the western slope of the Southern Ural Mountains along the banks of the Satka River.

The town is located approximately 190 kilometers (120 mi) from Chelyabinsk, which serves as the administrative center of the oblast. According to census data, the population was recorded at 45,178 in 2010, following a slight decline from 49,686 in 2002 and 50,664 during the 1989 Soviet census.
