Miass is a city located in the Chelyabinsk Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the bank of the river Miass on the eastern slope of the Southern Ural Mountains, approximately 96 kilometers west of the city of Chelyabinsk.
According to census data, the population of Miass was 147,995 in 2021. Previous census records indicate a population of 151,751 in 2010, 158,420 in 2002, and 167,839 during the 1989 Soviet census.
