Kasli is a town and the administrative center of the Kaslinsky District in Russia. It is situated in the Chelyabinsk Oblast on the eastern slope of the Middle Urals, positioned among several lakes. The town is located approximately 87 kilometers (54 miles) northwest of Chelyabinsk, which serves as the administrative center of the oblast.
According to census data, the population of Kasli has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 16,969, following a figure of 19,091 in 2002 and 21,530 during the 1989 Soviet census.
