Gudermes is a town located in the Chechen Republic of Russia. It is situated on the Sunzha River, approximately 36 kilometers east of Grozny, which serves as the capital of the republic.
According to census data, the population of Gudermes has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2021 census recorded a population of 64,376, following previous counts of 45,631 in 2010 and 33,756 in 2002.
