Taksimo is an urban locality situated in the far northeast of the Republic of Buryatia, Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Muysky District and is located on the Muysk Plateau along the banks of the Muya River.
According to the 2010 Census, the population of Taksimo was 9,438 residents. The settlement functions as a key regional hub for its surrounding district within the republic's northeastern territory.
