Kabansk is a rural locality located in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Kabansky District.
According to census data, the population of the settlement has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 6,038 residents, following figures of 6,373 in 2002 and 6,620 during the 1989 Soviet census.
