Starodub is a town located in the Bryansk Oblast region of Russia. It is situated on the Babinets River within the Dnieper basin, positioned approximately 169 kilometers (105 miles) southwest of the city of Bryansk.
According to census data, the population of Starodub has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2021 census recorded a population of 17,687, following figures of 19,010 in 2010 and 18,643 in 2002.
