Kletnya is an urban-type settlement located in the Bryansk Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Kletnyansky District and is situated on the Nadva River, approximately 99 km west of the city of Bryansk.
The settlement is a key point on a railway branch line that connects Kletnya with Zhukovka, located 43 km away. At Zhukovka, this branch joins the main railway line between Bryansk and Smolensk. According to the 2021 census, the population of Kletnya was 11,947.
