Stary Oskol is a city situated in the Belgorod Oblast of Russia, located approximately 618 kilometers (384 miles) south of Moscow. The city sits along the Oskol River and shares its name with the nearby town of Novy Oskol, which is positioned about 60 kilometers (37 miles) to the south.
