Ishimbay is a town located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. It is situated on the banks of the Belaya and Tayruk Rivers, approximately 166 kilometers (103 miles) south of the city of Ufa.
According to census data, the population of Ishimbay was 66,259 in 2010. Previous records indicate a population of 70,195 in 2002 and 69,896 during the 1989 Soviet census.
