Beloretsk is a town located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. It is situated on the Belaya River at a distance of approximately 245 kilometers (152 miles) from the regional center of Ufa.
According to census data, the population of the town has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 68,806, following figures of 71,093 in 2002 and 72,434 during the 1989 Soviet census.
