Shimanovsk

Shimanovsk is a town located in the Amur Oblast region of Russia. It is situated on the banks of the Bolshaya Pyora River, approximately 250 kilometers (160 miles) northwest of the city of Blagoveshchensk.

According to census data, the population of Shimanovsk has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 19,815 residents, following a count of 22,267 in 2002 and 26,274 during the 1989 Soviet census.
