Raychikhinsk is a town located in the Amur Oblast of Russia. It is situated within the Zeya–Bureya basin, approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the Amur River and the border with China. The town lies about 165 kilometers (103 miles) east of Blagoveshchensk, which serves as the administrative center of the oblast.
According to census data, the population of Raychikhinsk has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 20,534, following a figure of 24,498 in 2002 and 27,873 during the 1989 Soviet census.
