Zarinsk is a town located in the Altai Krai region of Russia. It is situated on the Chumysh River, approximately 99 kilometers (62 miles) east of the city of Barnaul.
According to census data, the population of Zarinsk has remained relatively stable over recent decades. The town recorded a population of 50,368 in 2002 and 48,461 in 2010, following a figure of 50,235 during the 1989 Soviet census.
