Žabalj is a town and municipality situated in the South Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. It is located in the southeastern part of the Bačka region, an area commonly referred to as Šajkaška.
According to the 2022 census, the town of Žabalj has a population of 8,449, while the broader municipality has a population of 23,853. All settlements within the municipality are characterized by an ethnic Serb majority.
