Subotica is a city located in Central Europe and serves as the administrative center of the North Bačka District within the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. It currently holds the position of the second-largest city in the province, following Novi Sad.
According to the 2022 census, the population of the city proper is 88,752, while the total population of its administrative area is 123,952 people. Historically, Subotica was once the largest city in the Vojvodina region.
