Petrovaradin

Petrovaradin is a historic town located in the Serbian province of Vojvodina. It currently functions as a part of the city of Novi Sad and has an urban population of 14,810 inhabitants as of 2011.

The town is situated on the right bank of the Danube river, positioned across from the main area of Novi Sad. Its primary defining feature is the Petrovaradin Fortress, which serves as the historical anchor for the modern city.
