Topola is a town and municipality situated in the Šumadija District of central Serbia. It holds significant historical importance as the location where Karađorđe, a Serbian revolutionary, was selected to lead the First Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman Empire in 1804.
The town is notable for its religious and royal heritage. The local St. George Church serves as the burial site for the Ducal and Royal Family of Serbia and Yugoslavia.
