Novi Pazar is a city situated in the Raška District in southwestern Serbia. According to the 2022 census, the urban area of the city houses 71,462 inhabitants, while the broader administrative area contains 106,720 residents.

The city serves as the cultural center for Sandžak and the Bosniaks in Serbia. It is characterized by its multicultural composition of Muslims and Orthodox Christians. The region features a variety of religious monuments, including the Altun-Alem Mosque and the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, among a total of 30 protected cultural monuments.
