Kragujevac is the fourth largest city in Serbia and serves as the administrative center of the Šumadija District. Located in central Serbia, it is situated on the banks of the Lepenica River and functions as the historical center of the geographical region of Šumadija.
According to the 2022 census, the city has a population of 146,318 residents. The broader city administrative area has a total population of 171,186 inhabitants.
