Otopeni is a town located in Ilfov County within the Muntenia region of Romania. It is situated to the north of Bucharest along the DN1 road, which serves as a primary route toward Ploiești.
The town has a population of 21,750 inhabitants, with ethnic Romanians making up 99.0% of the residents. Administratively, the city also oversees the village of Odăile.
