Dărăști-Ilfov is a commune located in the southern part of Ilfov County within the Muntenia region of Romania. Situated approximately 20 kilometers from the national capital, Bucharest, the commune consists of a single village also named Dărăști-Ilfov.
As of 2021, the locality has a population of 2,865 people. The area is primarily inhabited by low-income families who reside in the commune to take advantage of more affordable housing while commuting to Bucharest for employment.
