Hotarele is a commune situated in Giurgiu County within the Muntenia region of Romania. The administrative area currently consists of a single village also named Hotarele.
The commune's boundaries were modified in 2004 when several former constituent villages were separated to form new administrative entities. Specifically, Isvoarele and Teiușu were split off to establish the Isvoarele Commune, while Herăști and Miloșești were separated to form the Herăști Commune.
