Herăști is a commune situated in the Muntenia region of Romania, specifically within Giurgiu County. The administrative area is composed of two distinct villages: Herăști and Miloșești.
The current commune was established in 2004 when it was split off from the former Hotarele Commune. Prior to this reorganization, both villages were part of the larger Hotarele territory.
