Tâmboești is a commune located in Vrancea County, Romania. The administrative area is composed of five villages: Pădureni, Pietroasa, Slimnic, Tâmboești, and Trestieni.
The commune previously included the village of Obrejița as part of its territory. However, this changed in 2004 when Obrejița was split off to form a separate commune.
