Mitrofani is a commune situated in Vâlcea County within the Oltenia region of Romania. It serves as an administrative division composed of four distinct villages: Mitrofani, Cetățeaua, Izvorașu, and Racu.
The commune was established in 2004 following a territorial split from the former Sutești Commune. Since that time, it has functioned as an independent local administrative unit.
