Lăcusteni is a commune situated in Vâlcea County within the Oltenia region of Romania. It was established as an independent administrative unit in 2004 after being split from the former Zătreni Commune.
The commune is composed of five distinct villages: Contea, Gănești, Lăcusteni, Lăcustenii de Jos, and Lăcustenii de Sus.
