Făurești is a commune situated in Vâlcea County within the Oltenia region of Romania. It serves as an administrative division composed of five distinct villages: Bungețani, Făurești, Găinești, Mărcușu, and Milești.
Historically, the territory of the commune was larger; it previously included the villages of Băbeni-Oltețu, Budești, Colelia, and Diculești. These four locations were separated from Făurești in 2004 to establish the independent Diculești Commune.
