Pogonești is a commune located in Vaslui County within the Western Moldavia region of Romania. The administrative area consists of three distinct villages: Belcești, Pogonești, and Polocin.
The commune was established in 2004 when the three villages were split off from the former Ivești Commune to form their own independent local government entity.
