Murgeni is a town located in Vaslui County within the Western Moldavia region of Romania. It officially acquired its status as a town in 2003.
The administrative area of Murgeni encompasses six surrounding villages: Cârja, Floreni, Lățești, Sărățeni, Schineni, and Raiu.
