Alexandru Vlahuță was a Romanian writer known for his contributions to literature and journalism. His most prominent literary work is România pitorească, which serves as an overview of the Romanian landscape presented in the form of a travelogue.

In addition to his independent writing, Vlahuță served as the main editor of the magazine Sămănătorul, a position he held alongside George Coșbuc.
