Tulcea is a city located in Northern Dobruja, Romania. It serves as the administrative center for Tulcea County and has a recorded population of 65,624 as of 2021. The city also administers the village of Tudor Vladimirescu.
The city is notable for its geographical position on the river Danube. It is one of only six Romanian county seats situated along this river.
