Sânmihaiu Român is a commune located in Timiș County, Romania. Situated southwest of the city of Timișoara, the commune lies along the canalized section of the river Bega.
The administrative area of the commune is composed of three distinct villages: Sânmihaiu German, Sânmihaiu Român, and Utvin.
