Otelec is a commune located in Timiș County, Romania. The administrative unit consists of two distinct villages: Iohanisfeld and Otelec.
The history of the commune includes several administrative changes. It was originally established in 1856 but was later abolished in 1968 when it was absorbed into Uivar. Otelec was subsequently recreated as an independent commune in 2008.
