Barna, officially known as Bearna in both Irish and English, is a coastal village located in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. It sits on the R336 regional road and is situated approximately 7 km west of the center of Galway city.
The village serves as a satellite community of Galway and is primarily an Irish-speaking area. As such, it is a constituent part of the Gaeltacht regions of Ireland.
