Băbăița is a commune located in Teleorman County within the Muntenia region of Romania. The administrative area currently consists of two villages: Băbăița and Merișani.
Historically, the commune was larger as it included two additional villages. These were separated from Băbăița in 2004 to form the independent Frăsinet Commune.
