Volovăț is a commune situated in Suceava County within the historical region of Bukovina in northeastern Romania. It serves as a rural administrative division characterized by its location in the northern part of the country.
The commune is composed of a single village, Volovăț. Historically, it included the village of Burla; however, Burla was split off in 2004 to establish its own separate commune.
