Solca is a town located in Suceava County in northeastern Romania. It sits within the historical regions of Bukovina and Western Moldavia. The town's name originates from the river that flows through it, which itself is derived from the Slavic word "sol" (salt), referring to the area's salty springs.
As of the 2021 census, Solca has a population of 2,405 inhabitants, making it the smallest town in Suceava County and the third-smallest town in Romania. The location is recognized for its high air quality and its history as a former spa. Additionally, the town was home to a factory that manufactured an eponymous beer brand until 2004.
