Gălănești is a commune situated in the Bukovina region of Suceava County, Romania. The administrative area is primarily composed of two villages: Gălănești and Hurjuieni.
The geography of the commune was modified in 2004 when the village of Voitinel was split off to establish its own separate commune. Currently, it remains a rural locality within the northern part of the country.
