Dornești is a commune situated in Suceava County within the historical region of Bukovina in northeastern Romania. The administrative area is composed of two distinct villages: Dornești and Iaz.
Historically, the village of Dornești was inhabited by the Székelys of Bukovina from 1786 to 1941. The commune also previously hosted a minority population of Bukovina Germans. In the present day, the vast majority of the inhabitants are ethnic Romanians.
