Cacica is a commune situated in Suceava County within the historical region of Bukovina in northeastern Romania. It is located in the central part of the county, positioned approximately 17 km from the town of Gura Humorului, 34 km from Rădăuți, and 28 km from the county seat of Suceava.

The demographic composition of the commune reflects its historical ties to the region. According to the 2011 census, the population is primarily Romanian (74.8%), followed by a Polish minority (20.2%) and an Ukrainian minority (4.4%). The Polish inhabitants are descendants of settlers who arrived in the area at the turn of the 19th century during the Habsburg period.
