Bălăceana is a commune situated in the Bukovina region of northeastern Romania, within Suceava County. The administrative area consists of a single village also named Bălăceana.
The commune was established in 2004 following a territorial division of the former Ilișești commune. During this reorganization, Bălăceana and the village of Ciprian Porumbescu were split off to form their own separate administrative entities.
