Hoghilag is a commune situated in Sibiu County within the Transylvania region of central Romania. It serves as an administrative division composed of three distinct villages: Hoghilag, Prod, and Valchid.
The area is characterized by its historical religious architecture. While the fortified church located in the village of Prod was demolished in 1902, the fortified church in Valchid remains preserved in relatively good condition.
