Gura Râului is a commune located in Sibiu County within the Transylvania region of Romania. Situated at the foothills of the Cindrel Mountains, it lies approximately 20 km (12 mi) west of the county capital, Sibiu.
The commune consists of a single village, also named Gura Râului. It is situated within the Mărginimea Sibiului ethnographic area, a region known for its distinct cultural and traditional characteristics.
