Azuga is a small resort town situated in the mountains of Prahova County within the historical region of Muntenia, Romania. Located at the foot of the Baiu Mountains, it is recognized as one of the most famous mountain resorts in the Prahova Valley.
The town features several ski slopes, including Sorica, which is the longest ski run in Romania. From street level to the top of Sorica mountain, visitors can view the Bucegi Mountains, where a gondola arrival station is located. Once heavily industrialized, the area now hosts a bottled water factory, a sparkling wine factory, and various lodging options for tourism.
