Scornicești is a town located in Olt County within the historical region of Oltenia in Romania. It officially attained town status in 1989 following the implementation of the Romanian rural systematization program.
The town has a population of 10,795 and administers 13 villages. Covering a total area of 170 km2 (66 sq mi), Scornicești is notable for being the largest locality by land area in Olt County, exceeding the size of the county's capital, Slatina.
