Ghimpețeni is a commune located in the Muntenia region of Olt County, Romania. The administrative area is composed of two distinct villages: Ghimpețeni and Ghimpețenii Noi.
Historically, these two villages were part of the Nicolae Titulescu Commune. They were officially split off to form their own independent commune in 2004.
