Bălțătești is a commune located in Neamț County within the Western Moldavia region of Romania. It serves as an administrative division composed of three distinct villages: Bălțătești, Valea Arini, and Valea Seacă.
The commune's current composition was established following a territorial change in 2003. Prior to that year, the village of Ghindăoani was part of the Bălțătești commune before it was split off to form its own independent administrative entity known as Ghindăoani Commune.
