Strehaia is a town located in the eastern part of Mehedinți County within the Oltenia region of Romania. It is situated along the valley of the Motru River.
The town serves as an administrative center for nine surrounding villages: Ciochiuța, Comanda, Hurducești, Lunca Banului, Menți, Motruleni, Slătinicu Mare, Slătinicu Mic, and Stăncești.
