Eșelnița is a commune situated in Mehedinți County, Romania. It consists of a single village also named Eșelnița and is one of four localities within the county located in the Banat region.
According to the 2011 census, the demographic composition of the commune includes Romanians making up 74% of the population, followed by Roma at 23.4%, and Czechs at 2%.
